Behind the scenes: How BFC is growing in Bosnia
From BFC 1 in Mejdan's small hall in 2024 to Telex teren in 2026 - a look at the infrastructure behind the events.
BFC 1 happened June 1, 2024 in the small hall of SKPC Mejdan, with a capacity of about 800. Two years later, BFC 5 moves to an outdoor venue holding 12,000 people. What happened in between?
The team
A starting team of four (organization, matchmaking, production, marketing) is now 14, plus a network of over 30 freelancers who plug in around event dates.
Smoothcomp and matchmaking
Moving the entire matchmaking process onto Smoothcomp made fight bookings transparent and fast. Currently 80+ active fighters in the system.
Sponsor side
Local Tuzla sponsors made up BFC 1. BFC 5 has six platinum/gold partners from across Bosnia plus two regional brands. The tier structure is what enabled predictable growth.
We don't want a jump. We want every event to be 20% better than the last. Five events is enough to see what that means in practice.
